Koko and Kiki are the most extraordinary pair of African Gray parrots. Especially so since they have a meadery named after them!
Koko, the Very Special Bird (VSB), has lived with William since he hatched out of his egg (Koko, not William) in 1992. He is an avid talker who loves to carry on conversations with the neighborhood birds or watch Anchi type on the computer. When he wants to come out of his cage he clearly states, "William, I want to come out!" When it is time for bed, he starts yawning and repeating, "Go to bed." He answers the door with a cheerful "Hello, come in." and calls out "Bye-bye" whenever William and Anchi are leaving. He is very finicky about his food and tends to be a bit aloof.
Kiki, is less talkative, but more affectionate. She is less discerning about what she will eat, in fact it doesn't matter if it is edible or not… she'll eat it! She loves to sing and whistle. Her favorite tune is the Adams Family. She likes to stay in the shower and listen to the sound of her own songs. She is prone to jealous moodiness, but these never last long. Her favorite thing is getting a tickle on the top of her head.
